I just installed these plugs today and the are really good quality and easy to install. They are very reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend these over the overpriced Monster brand plugs.

These plugs fit 10 gauge speaker wire perfectly. They should be a good fit for 12 gauge wire. They are to large for smaller wire because the back part of the plug will not clamp down on the wire to provide strain relief. I purchased two 20 packs of these for a 9.1 channel setup. One of the plugs failed when I unplugged it and the gold part of the plug separated and remained in a speaker. I had an extra to replace it with and none of the others have failed. I would rate these as top of the line for normal home use but would not use them on an expensive (+$100,000) audiophile system. Overall a great value. Recommend using Steren 10 gauge speaker wire (Item: 255-510) with these for a perfect fit and a top quality speaker cable.
